RORO01 TO USE THESE SOUND FILES ALSO AS iPHONE RINGTONES 1. Go to /Library/Sounds and double click on your chosen file - it will open in iTunes. 2. Select it in iTunes window Library>Music and using the Advanced menu, convert it to AAC version (if your menu item does not read "Create AAC Version" and reads "Create MP3 version" or some other format - go to iTunes>Preferences>General>Import Settings and change the "Import Using" drop down menu to "AAC Encoder"). Another file of the same name will appear above the original file. 3. Select the newly created file and using the File menu, show it in Finder. It is a MPEG4 file with an extension .m4a - drag it to your desktop. 4. Go back to iTunes window Library>Music and trash both files. 5. Change the extension of the MPEG4 file from .m4a to .m4r and then double click on it - it will apear as a ringtone in iTunes window Library>Ringtones. 6. Sinc your iPhone and you are done! If you wish to convert your own sound file to a ringtone, make sure it is less than 30 seconds in length. You can check it's duration in the Get Info window under More Info. (Version 1.0) |
