Switch File Format Converter is a sound file converter for Mac. It can convert audio files from many sources into mp3 or wav format. Switch Converter is very easy to use. Just add the files you want to convert to the list, select the format you want to use, and then click the convert button.

	Dec 28 2008	ATTICUS I received an album of files in ogg format. First time I encountered this file type. Switch converted to mp3 quick and easy. Added to iTunes library with no problem. The user interface is easy to understand - I especially liked the feature that allows you to select the bitrate for encoding. (Version 1.40)		0

RODRIGO GIR�O I think it is just downloading the codecs needed to read and convert the files.

SUGARSPICEBABY1 It is a valuable tool of you cannot get the file to load into iTunes or QuickTime b/c of it's initial format. Especially with .wma audio

AIKOUSHA I guess there are a couple of WMA types that might bring up that issue. Since I avoid those and have codecs installed into QT for most of the others, and one or two (ape) with console tools, I've never had to deal.

	Jul 16 2007	EL-CRAVITO This is not an Universal application. I get the information from the Finder (File - Get Info) that this a PowerPC application. Nevertheless, it works very well in my Intel-based iMac, running Mac OS X Tiger (10.4.10). To convert to MP3 or WAV, the free version of Switch is enough. To convert to other audio formats, you'll have to buy the Plus version (almost $20). (Version 1.12)		0

	Apr 26 2006	ALUAKZ the programs works fine. the only thing is that before converting every song it asks to install flip4mac though i have it already installed. but if you click ok, then it works just fine. the program does what it is supposed to do. it is simple and the user interface is ok. the program is not amazing but it is definitly not crap.
